Mexico Is Not Scary And Why I Love Visiting

(Cancun, Mexico)

Anyone who knows me knows that I love Mexico.  I know some people think that Mexico is a dangerous place to visit, because unfortunately, that’s all the news coverage we ever get about Mexico, but trust me, if you stay in the tourist areas, Mexico is perfectly safe.  In fact, I’d argue that it’s safer than many parts of Los Angeles!  The general fear of Mexico has made this place a fantastic bargain the last few years but travel to our Southern neighbor is actually picking up again!

My love for Mexico boils down to 3 main reasons:

1) It’s a short flight from Southern California so it makes for a convenient weekend getaway.

2) The resorts in Mexico are as nice as any resort in the U.S.  Many of them are way newer than the ones in Hawaii even!

3) The people are super friendly!  There is nowhere else in the world where the resort staff are as kind and hospitable or the tour leaders as fun and energetic than they are in Mexico. When you’re there, you really feel like these people are there for no other reason than to make sure you’re enjoying your vacation (it’s like they can’t enjoy themselves until you do).  And if you’re not, they are ready with a shot of tequila or some jungle juice to make sure you’re ready to loosen up – well at least, that’s the case whenever I’ve taken any sunset cruises!

Anyway, if you’ve been hesitant to explore our friendly southern neighbor, you’ve been missing out! Yes, this applies even to those of you who think that because you don’t know a lick of Spanish, you can’t go.  You can.

And for those of you who don’t know where to go in Mexico, stay tuned for my next post where I’ll help you figure it out.

I love this article. Mexico is not scary! Did you had a chance of visiting san carlos resorts?

Nope, but all the resorts are pretty nice in the big tourist cities!
