When I was younger and couldn’t travel on my own, I used to rent videos from the library that highlighted far away destinations that I always wanted to visit.
When I was in high school, I tried to extol the virtues of a foreign exchange program to my traditional Asian parents but to no avail. “Uh, we’re supposed to open our house to some stranger?!,” they said.
When I went to college, I made a beeline for the Education Abroad Program and essentially applied for and was accepted into the study aboard program before I even told my parents I was going to Sweden the next semester. (Surprisingly, that conversation with them went a lot better than you’d think.)
So it was done. I packed my bags without even figuring how I would get from the Copenhagen airport to my school in Lund and just took off for the semester. And so began my love of traveling.
That was 10 years ago.
Since then, I’ve visited over 60 countries and 6 continents – some with friends and some alone. I’ve set out a goal to make it to at least 4 different countries every year so that I can eventually cross off all the countries on my “bucket list”. I want to use this blog as my little outlet to share some of the amazing (and not so amazing) things I’ve learned, seen, and come across in my past and future travels…. And hopefully to inspire others to wanderlust as much as I do.
Thanks for stopping by! If you’re a novice traveler or self-identified travel addict… if you want to ask a question or just want to say “hi”, feel free to drop me a line at diana@justwanderlustblog.com. I answer all emails! 🙂

I am an American expat. I have lived in Bangkok for seven years.
Hope you’ll check out my website. Let’s compare notes.
I will be in Miami for a couple of months starting in September. Need to take care of some personal matters.
I am considering a trip to Ecuador.
In the winter I plan to go to China, Korea and Japan for the winter snow and ice festivals.
Come on along!
Hope to hear from you soon.

I love to read about your stories and your passion in exploring the world. Great to see others with the same urge to go out there. What is your favorite country so far?
It’s hard to pick just one, but I have soft spots for Iceland and Italy. 🙂
