Travel Tip Tuesday: The Only Site You Need To Figure Out How To Get From Point A To Point B

When I was planning last summer’s mega trip around the world, there was one site that proved indispensable in my travel planning: Rome2Rio.  Bookmark this site!  This “engine” makes it super easy to plug in your starting location and your destination and immediately see all the transportation options between the two cities.  It lists out your transportation options like driving, flying, and riding a train/boat, and it estimates how long the total travel time will take.  If flying is one of the options, it also lists out airlines that service the cities, which is a great way to find the budget airlines that aren’t usually listed on big search engine sites.

This site, however, isn’t foolproof.  For instance, it had suggested a budget airline that wasn’t servicing the city I wanted to go to until months after I’d be there (you can, however, get better results if you enter the dates you plan to travel).  It also isn’t comprehensive of all the transportation options and failed to list out some shuttles that serviced the cities I was interested in even though it listed out one or two shuttles (I was able to find more with a google search).  That said, the site was a great start when I was travel planning and I quickly referenced it again and again as I pulled my itinerary together.

So, if you’re planning your next big trip and aren’t sure how to get from one city to another, check out Rome2Rio!
