I stumbled across The Guide To Sleeping In Airports a year ago and although I thought it was hilarious that this site even existed, I’ve actually referenced it a few times since then in my own travel planning… so your travel tip this week is to bookmark that site!
Whether or not you’re planning to sleep in an airport, the site is useful if you have a long layover and aren’t sure what to do during the layover. You can search by airport and find the hoteling options (this is how I booked the Ambassador Transit Hotel for a few hours of sleep at Singapore’s Changi Airport), airport lounges, and the terminals that have the best amenities (free wifi, close to food, etc.). It even lists out things you can do to pass the time at the airport (ATM’s, currency exchanges, prayer rooms, city tours, etc.)!
Help me keep this series going! If you have any travel tips, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and your tip may end up in a future post!
