I’m a sucker for restaurants with unique views and when I saw this photo of Grotta Palazzese, I immediately added it to my “must-see” list. How cool would it be to dine in a cave with that view!? OMG, I’d die!
The restaurant is located in the town of Polignano, Italy, in a hotel by the same name and overlooking the Adriatic Sea. I mapped it and the restaurant is pretty far south in Italy – close to the “heel” if Italy were a “boot”. In the past, the cave was used by the nobility but today, the restaurant is open between May and October. I definitely have to hit this place up next time I’m in Italy!
Here are some more photos from the hotel:

Have you been before? I’d love to hear if you thought it was worthwhile!
