A Guide To The Complex World Of Airline Fees

The airline landscape is forever changing that it’s impossible to keep track of it all!  Here’s a cool infograph that shows all the typical fees major US airlines are charging now – proof that Southwest is truly the best budget airline (you get TWO free checked bags and NO booking or change fees!), Spirit airlines sucks (they’ll even charge you $35 just for a carry-on bag!), and legacy big name carriers only care about staying competitive with themselves (and by “competitive”, I mean, there’s no incentive to differentiate a legacy airline with another by lowering their fees).

There’s nothing wrong with your eyes.  Or your computer.  The infograph rendering below is not going to win any awards especially given its not-so-friendly-landscape-format.  That’s why you can click here to enlarge it.

Neat little graph! 🙂

Although these days, If you don’t have some sort of gold status on an airline, you’re pretty much flying southwest..
but if you don’t have gold status or higher on an airline, air travel in general really sucks..
🙁
