Travel Tip Tuesday: Using Your ATM And Credit Cards Abroad

(Source: here)

Before you leave home, make sure you call your ATM and credit card companies to let them know you’ll be out of the country.  They’ll note your account with your travel locations and dates so that you can place foreign transactions without any issues.  Also, make sure your ATM has a 4 digit PIN as many ATMs abroad only allow you to enter 4 digits.  Finally, make copies of the front and back of your cards so you have them as reference in case you lose the cards or they are stolen.  I like to take photos of my credit cards in place of having physical copies and I’ll keep the photos accessible online so that I can always access them if I need to.
