I hinted here that we were headed off to an island and now that I’m back, I’m revealing that that island was Japan! We just got back last night… and it was hands down, the most tiring trip I have ever taken (even beating out all the work trips I’ve had to endure — who knew that was even possible?).
I’m still going through all the pictures from our week there and processing the whirlwind from the last week so after things calm down I may actually have something intelligent to say. Or maybe just some more snarky comments (Mr. T’s sure heard a lot of those this past week). We’ll see. 🙂
In the meantime, here’s a pic of me in one of my more calmer moments in Nara, Japan. We took an early morning bike ride to the Kasuga Grand Shrine and had the pleasure of the early morning rays shine on us as we rode by the thousands of stone lanterns that led up to the shrine:
If more of the Japan trip were as “zen-like” as this, I’d be in a better place right now. Sigh.
